Seattle for a Day

Naomi and I are headed up to Vancouver, Canada for a bit of a late anniversary jaunt. Tessa is in Utah with a friend, Emily and Gabe are in Montana for the summer and Mika hasn't yet returned from Africa. It's odd, but I guess it's just the two of us... they say this starts to happen eventually.

So why not make the most of it?

Today after a tiring run on the boardwalk at Redondo Beach (we're both training for a half marathon... the free coffee and cookies with the local cops was a nice surprise, gotta love America) we boarded the local light rail (WAY nicer than Portland, gotta say) and got off downtown. So it was fish and chips at Ivar's, the Seattle Wheel, an Italian gelato & macchiato and Pike Place market (including our first visit to a very sticky Gum Wall at Post Alley).
