Your organization's missing piece.
High-level communications and operations expertise — without the overhead of another full-time hire. I step in where you need me, work alongside your team, and leave things better than I found them.
You're doing too much. I know it.
Most small nonprofits and ministry organizations are run by passionate, talented people wearing far too many hats. The Executive Director shouldn't be designing the newsletter. The pastor shouldn't be managing the social media calendar. And no one should be doing payroll at midnight.
But bringing someone on full-time isn't always an option — not with the budget realities most mission-driven organizations face.
That's exactly where I come in.
Senior-level help. Fraction of the cost.
Fractional leadership means you get an experienced professional working on your behalf — on a contract basis, by the hour, or on a flexible retainer — without committing to a full-time salary and benefits package.
Think of it as having a trusted colleague in your corner: someone who knows your organization, cares about your mission, and shows up ready to do the work.
Where I can help
I bring three decades of hands-on experience across a wide range of organizational needs. Here's what I'm most often called in to do:
-
Newsletters, social media, email campaigns, printed materials — keeping your voice consistent and your audience engaged.
-
Personnel processes, onboarding, payroll administration — handled with care so your team feels supported.
-
Financial record keeping and reporting that keeps you organized and board-ready.
-
Stewardship strategy, donor communications, and campaign support that strengthens giving relationships.
-
Someone to own the timeline, wrangle the details, and make sure things actually get done.
-
From planning to execution, I help you pull off events that reflect well on your organization — without the chaos.
This might be for you if…
You lead a small-to-mid-size nonprofit
Your communications are inconsistent or falling behind
You need admin help but can't hire full-time
You're between staff and need bridge coverage
Your board is asking for better reporting
You're a church without a communications director
Your small business needs a part-time operations brain
I've worked inside organizations like yours.
I've spent years embedded in nonprofit and ministry contexts — not just consulting from the outside, but doing the work from the inside. I understand donor culture, the pace of a small staff, the constraints of a tight budget, and the weight of a mission that actually matters.
I hold a Master of Arts in Digital Storytelling from Asbury University, and my career spans communications, international development, media production, and organizational leadership — across the U.S. and globally.
I'm Portland-based, but I work with organizations wherever they are.
Simple, flexible engagement.
There's no one-size-fits-all here. Some clients bring me in for a few hours a week. Others put me on a monthly retainer to manage an ongoing area of their operations. We figure out what fits your rhythm and your budget.
Hourly
Great for specific projects, one-time needs, or trying things out before committing to something ongoing.
Retainer
Best for ongoing communications management or recurring operational support. We agree on a scope and I show up consistently each month.
Project-based
Scoped work with a defined deliverable — a launch, a campaign, an event, a transition period.
Let’s Have a Conversation
I genuinely enjoy meeting people and hearing about their work. Even if you're not sure what you need yet, I'm happy to think through it with you. No obligation — just an honest conversation.
