Old Salmon River Trail 742A

My go-to hike whenever I’m looking for a mostly flat walk that doesn’t challenge the body too much, meaning older family members, younger kids or just anyone who doesn’t regularly toss on a backpack for a 9-miler, is the Old Salmon River Trail 742A. It is just outside of the town of Rhododendron, Oregon in the Mt Hood National Forest (yes, you need a parking pass). Check out AllTrails for more info.
