Clients from 2025

As the year wraps up, I find it kinda fun to remember the completed (and often still in process) media projects I’ve been able to work on (listed in order of the start of the year). As is usually the case, there is a wide variety of projects, budgets and time spent on various projects. Sometimes I do free projects to help some friends out (the wedding) or agree to potential future payouts knowing I’ll enjoy the process of growth and joy (the podcast). I often start projects that end up in limbo (like the Brilliance Labs projects this year). Many times I am presented with subpar media material and am asked to make it look acceptable. While it isn’t ideal, I understand the constraints organizations are often working with.

Faithful Friends & Transitional Youth

All Hands on Deck fundraising gala invitation I designed (using Canva)

This was the year when Faithful Friends, the child mentorship non-profit I have been working with for several years as 1) Communications Manager, 2) Interim Executive Director, 3) Director of Operations merged with the larger local faith-based youth-focused non profit Transitional Youth. I served for 6 months as Business Manager full-time overseeing the successful merger of the mentoring program into the overall umbrella of services that Transitional Youth provides in the Portland and Vancouver metro areas. My media and communication skills were underutilized during this season as I took on more urgent administrative roles. I resigned at the end of June.

Holy Redeemer Catholic School

This spring I came alongside Holy Redeemer, once again, to produce their annual banquet fundraising video. With the help of some loaned equipment, Holy Redeemer staff interviewed students in their K-8 program and I edited together a thematic video focusing on “Woodland Wilds”.

Language Hospitality Project

The Language Hospitality Project began as a collaborative initiative of Multnomah Biblical Seminary and the Multnomah University TESOL Department under the direction of Kristyn Kidney and Derek Chinn. This is a course intended for communities of faith to educate and encourage Christians to be hospitable to people from other cultures. I edited together a longer and shorter version of their introductory videos using various zoom recordings from those who have participated in or lead the program.

“Awkward Christian Questions” Podcast

Earlier this year I began dreaming with my friends Drew and Grace Dyck about producing a podcast with them focusing on a fun (but important) overlooked theme for Christians. Why not tackle some, er, awkward stuff for a change? With Drew’s presence already growing online through his appearance on Holy Post podcasts, and with several books in print, he’s got down the vibe for what makes a podcast episode both fun, entertaining and thoughtful. This husband and wife dynamic duo have been a joy to work with as we try to release new episodes regularly. Topics have included the following:

  1. How do you respond when someone has a word from the Lord for you, but it comes across a little weird?

  2. How can Christians discern between core & secondary doctrines?

  3. Is it okay for a Christian woman to wear a bikini?

  4. Should Christians visit a mosque? (see below)

  5. Should churches have an American flag in the sanctuary?

Society Church

A new church plant in Portland was having a grand opening and invited me to shoot some photos during their service and celebration lunch…

Trevor & Hannah’s Wedding

Some friends from church asked me to film a live stream of their wedding. Having some experience in that area from my own family weddings, we were able to make a way for friends and family based around the world to participate remotely. Afterwards I edited together a quick montage.
